This month’s reflection takes a slightly different format. Rather than focusing on one central theme, I want to share several announcements, updates, and opportunities with you.
Joseph Russ
I recently learned that last month’s letter did not reach everyone. My apologies for that oversight. Attached you will find a PDF version of the April letter, which introduces another member of our U.S.-facing Global Ecumenical Liaison team, Joseph Russ. I hope you will take a moment to read it and get to know Joseph and his ministry!
Vilmarie Cintron-Olivieri
Those of you who read the April letter may remember that I had planned to introduce our fourth U.S.-facing GEL, Vilmarie, in this month’s newsletter. With the number of announcements and updates I wanted to include, I’ve decided to save that introduction for June. I look forward to sharing more about her ministry with you next month.
General Assembly Connections
As General Assembly approaches, I know many of you are preparing for an important and meaningful gathering. I will be attending the plenary sessions (June 26-July 2), supporting our Partner Advisory Delegates, and hoping to connect with many of you in person.

Young Adults with Presbyterian Ministry at the United Nations
The Presbyterian Ministry at the United Nations (PMUN) will host a delegation of Presbyterian young adults (approximately ages 18–25) during the first week of the High-Level Political Forum, July 7–10, 2026, in New York City. Applications are due May 26, 2026. Find more information here.
Please share this opportunity with young adults in your communities who may be interested in faith-based global engagement and advocacy.
